Lead Mentor Profiles

Amy McQueen
Amy began her teaching career as a mathematics teacher at David Douglas High School (DDHS) in 1998. She transitioned from the math classroom into the role of CIM and Assessment Coordinator in 2005-2006 while completing her Initial Administrative degree. With the demise of CIM at the state level, Amy's job was changed to include liason to all Outside Agencies who provide additional instruction and resources to students at DDHS. During this time, Amy became involved with the David Douglas School District Mentor Task Force. She quickly realized that she had a passion for mentoring teachers. When the DDSD received a District Lead Mentor in 2009-2010, focusing on secondary 1st and 2nd year teachers, she enthusiastically took on the responsibility. This year, she is excited that her role has expanded to be in service as an instructional mentor to all teachers, at all levels.
